I've had my thrustmaster Hotas for a couple years and always use it for war thunder sim battles and elite dangerous on my PC. I kept one DS4 powered on, next to the HOTAS, so I could check my score in multiplayer matches.

While waiting for Eve's update to go live, I practiced using the HOTAS with War Thunder, and was initially turned off because of how difficult I found it to control. Each control can be manually mapped in the options menu. The throttle and joystick can be separated, so the location of each component can be adjusted for a greater sense of immersion. There's a bit of a learning curve compared with the regular controller (you will almost certainly have a lower K/D ratio at first), but the HOTAS feels fantastic and is very immersive. The T.Flight HOTAS X was available for a bit less and appears to be identical at first glance, but I read the deadzone was wider and made control difficult, so I bought the HOTAS 4. I insert it in the PS4 and within seconds, I got totally blown away. I just recently purchased the PSVR, and one of the trial games that came with what I call the "enticer" game disc was Eve Valkyrie, and it did it's job, it got me hooked, I shopped around, got a terrific deal on this game. OK.B4 all the haters jump in, let me state that I am 65 Years young.
